Srinagar: Police organised a Zonal level musical competition namely ‘Choona Hai Aasman’ in Srinagar’s Tagore Hall on Saturday.
According to a press note, Inspector General of Police Mr Vijay Kumar was the Chief host and Smt Snehal Priyanka, Chief Guest.
DIG CKR, DIG NKR, SSP Srinagar, SSP PCR Kashmir also attended the event, it said.

A total of 20 participants under three different age group categories participated and qualified at three range levels and mementoes were given to winners.
Cash rewards of ₹12000, ₹10000 & ₹8000 (Indian rupees) were awarded to the first three position holders respectively in all three categories.
IGP congratulated SSP PCR Kashmir and his team for organizing the event successfully and praised the contestants for their exemplary skills and talent.
“J&K Police is committed to providing a platform to talented people especially youth in various fields,” press note reads.
Glad over its revival, IGP said restarting this cultural program after a gap of two years is helpful to youth as it provides a platform to the talent.
“It was halted due to the Covid19 pandemic,” IGP added.
“Winners of this competition will now participate on UT level,” IGP said.
