Police Arrest Three Over Karfali Boy’s Death

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday solved the death case of a Srinagar boy whose body was found in the Tengan area on March 15, 2023, and arrested three accused persons on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Suhail Rehman Beigh, son of Ab Rehman Beigh, a resident of Karfali Mohalla in Srinagar.

As per police, the three arrested persons accused were involved in drug peddling activities.

The accused persons were identified as Sahil Maqbool Najar, his wife Mehak Sahil, and Waseem Ahmad Sheikh, all residents of Narkara Budgam, central Kashmir, Police said in a statement.

Mohd Waseem Shiekh was arrested for helping the other two accused in disposing off the body by ferrying it in a sumo (cab) vehicle from their rented accommodation at Palpora Sonwar to Tengan, said the statement.

All the accused are found involved in drug peddling activities as well, it reads.

A team of Police Station Nowgam headed by the SHO Nowgam investigated the case and identified evidences to track down the suspects, it said.

“The instant Sumo has been identified and seized in the instant Case. Further investigation of the case is going on,” it added.
