Muslims around the world are celebrating the Islamic festival of Eid al-Fitr, commonly known as Eid, to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan 1444 A H on Friday and Saturday depending on the northern and southern hemispheres.ย

The Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated during the first two or three days of Shawwฤl (the 10th month of the Islamic calendar) though the Muslims use lunar (moon) calendar which means determining the start and end of the holy Ramadan may fall in any season of the year depending on the sighting of crescent moon.

While Tรผrkiye, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan, Palestine, Sudan, Libya, Iraq and Saudi Arabia celebrated Eid al Fitr on Friday; Iran, India, Pakistan, and other countries marked the end of Ramadan on Saturday.ย
