Baramulla: A 32-year-old woman, Dilshada Akhter of Khadniyar, lost her life shortly after giving birth at District Hospital Baramulla in North Kashmir with the grieving family levelling accusations of medical negligence against the hospital staff, claiming that the deceased struggled for her life for more than twelve hours, from 10:30 am to 1 o’clock midnight.
According to the family, their repeated pleas for attention went unanswered as the hospital staff, allegedly preoccupied with their cell phones, neglected Dilshada’s urgent needs.
Medical Superintendent Dr. Parvaiz Masoodi responded to the allegations, assuring an investigation into the matter.
“We take these accusations seriously, and if any lapses are found, those responsible will face strict legal consequences," Dr Masoodi added.
