Srinagar: A 58-year-old woman was killed after a gas cylinder exploded at her house in Ali Kadal area of downtown, Srinagar on Saturday and gutted a 3-storey residency even as the sleuths of Fire and Emergency Department controlled the fire from spreading in the congested locality, an official source said.
He identified her as Nafeesa (58), she was inside the kitchen of the house when the gas cylinder caught fire and exploded, leading to her on-spot death.
A police official confirmed the incident and said a case has been registered and further investigations taken up.
