Pakistan: The Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors has demanded immediate arrest of journalist’s killers who was killed outside Lahore press club on Monday.
The council condemned the murder of Journalist Hasnain Shah who died on spot when he was shot by unknown assistants while sitting in his car.
The 40-year-old was working as a crime reporter with local TV Channel, Capital TV and was also a council member of the (LPC) Lahore press club.
The assailants, who had been chasing him on a motorbike, fired 10 shots at him, killing him on the spot. Mobile phone and CCTV camera footage also showed the two suspects fleeing on a motorcycle after the murder.
Besides journalist bodies, HRCP Human Rights Commission of Pakistan also condemned the killing.
