Jammu: A married couple was arrested on Saturday by J&K Police and handed over to Punjab police for their alleged links with one of the aides of Amritpal Singh.
As per reports, Amrik Singh, a resident of RS (Ranbir Singh) Pura, and his wife Paramjit Kour were detained and handed over to Punjab Police as a massive hunt has been launched to arrest Waris Punjab De, chief Amritpal Singh.
An official said that they have been detained for reportedly having links with Papalpreet Singh, a close aide of Amritpal Singh.
“Mobile phones of the couple have also been seized for further investigation. The matter is being investigated by Punjab Police and they will be questioning the couple.”
