The Punjab and Haryana High Court has intervened over Nuh situation taking suo motu cognizance of the demolitions carried out by the authorities after communal violence erupted during a Hindu festival procession.
The court has issued a stay on all further demolitions.
Over 100 houses and dozens of shops were razed by the government for four consecutive days while citing communal violence as a reason for their actions.
