Srinagar: Paramedical Staff of Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar protested on Thursday against the hospital administration for withholding their salaries for five months.
The staff raised slogans for releasing their salaries while requesting authorities to look into the matter at the earliest.
“Our salaries are withheld as authorities accuse us of not submitting time-bound orders; we didn’t upload the time-bound promotion copy on the JKHRM (Jammu & Kashmir Human Resource Management System) portal because authorities haven’t provided us the same,” they said.
Rest all others are uploaded and submitted, they added.
“We have repeatedly brought this issue to the notice of higher ups several times but to no avail,” they said.
They requested higher authorities to intervene at the earliest.
Meanwhile an official told KNO that paramedical staff will get their salaries very soon.
