Srinagar: Fire incidents are rising in Kashmir capital Srinagar, new twenty-two houses were gutted and four persons injured in an overnight massive fire at Gata Colony of Noorbagh overnight.
A day before, two fire incidents were reported in Rajouri Kadal and Zaina Kadal areas of downtown Srinagar, Eight shops were damaged in Gadyar area of Zainakadal and one house in Rajouri (Razai) Kadal.
More than dozens of such incidents were reported since this winter.

“The fire broke out due to short-circuit as per preliminary investigations that quickly spread to others structures because of the congestion in the area damaging 22 more houses and a tin shed,” police said.
A fire-fighter received injuries in the incident and hospitalized, they added.
Reportedly, 33 families rendered shelter less in the devastating blaze.
A detailed inquiry is underway to conclude the reasons behind the fire, the officials added.
