Srinagar: An earthquake of magnitude 3.0 on Richter scale hits J&K’s Kathua district on Wednesday morning, according to meteorological department here.
However, no loss of life or damage to property was reported due to the earthquake.
Notably, the tremors were felt at around 9:15 a.m. at a depth of 10 km from the surface with 32.71 degrees latitude and 75.65 degrees longitude, the officials said.
The jolt was felt momentarily and there was hardly any panic among the people.
