Chilai Khurd Begins In Kashmir, MeT Predicts Wet Spell On Thursday

Srinagar: The Metrological Department J&K has predicted wet spell across Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday and Friiday with severe spell on Thursday.ย ย 

"There is possibility of light to moderate rains or snow across from February 02 and the weather would remain cloudy during the next three days.

Moreover, there is a possibility of light rains or snow at scattered places on February 06-08.ย

Futhermore, the Deputy Director MeT, Mukhtar Ahmad said the region had normal snowfall during the 40-day harshest period, Chila-i-Kalan.ย

Chila-i-Khurd, (small cold) the 20-day cold winter period from 31st January- 19 February has begun in Kashmir as the harsh winter period Chillai-Kalan from 21 December to 31 January passed away.ย 

ย 

Chilai Khurd is followed by 10-day long Chillai-Bachha (baby cold) from February 20 to March 2.
