Srinagar: The Metrological Department J&K has predicted wet spell across Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday and Friiday with severe spell on Thursday.
"There is possibility of light to moderate rains or snow across from February 02 and the weather would remain cloudy during the next three days.
Moreover, there is a possibility of light rains or snow at scattered places on February 06-08.
Futhermore, the Deputy Director MeT, Mukhtar Ahmad said the region had normal snowfall during the 40-day harshest period, Chila-i-Kalan.
Chila-i-Khurd, (small cold) the 20-day cold winter period from 31st January- 19 February has begun in Kashmir as the harsh winter period Chillai-Kalan from 21 December to 31 January passed away.
Chilai Khurd is followed by 10-day long Chillai-Bachha (baby cold) from February 20 to March 2.
