Srinagar, October 28: Boulevard Road will remain closed to general traffic from 7 am on Thursday until the conclusion of the J&K Police Cycle Race-2026, ‘Pedal Through Paradise’, with traffic diversions announced across parts of Srinagar.

According to an advisory issued by Traffic Police City Srinagar, the race will cover two routes: Lalit Ghat (Police Golf Course) to Nagbal Chowk via Foreshore Road, and Lalit Ghat to Harwan via Shalimar.

To facilitate the smooth conduct of the event, Boulevard Road stretches from Lalit Ghat to Harwan and from Lalit Ghat to Pandach will remain closed to general traffic during the race.

Motorists have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly and use the designated alternative routes.

Those travelling from Harwan and New Theed towards Srinagar have been asked to take the Burzahama–Chandpora–Tailbal–Zakoora–Malbagh–Illahibagh–90 Feet Road route, and vice versa.

Motorists coming from Ganderbal and Nagbal towards Lal Chowk have been advised to use the 90 Feet Soura Road.

The advisory also specifies additional restrictions around the race route. No traffic, except that of participants, will be allowed from R.M. Bagh Crossing towards Lalit. Traffic will also be restricted from Badyari towards Lalit Crossing, from Dalgate to Nishat via Badyari, and from Nishat towards Lal Chowk.

The Traffic Police has requested the public to avoid unnecessary movement on Boulevard Road, particularly between 5 am and the conclusion of the event, on the Lalit Ghat–Harwan stretch via Shalimar and the Lalit Ghat–Pandach stretch via Zakoora.

However, vehicles carrying patients in medical emergencies and those travelling towards Srinagar Airport will be allowed to use the Foreshore–Dargah–Khanyar Road.

Citizens requiring assistance have been asked to contact Traffic Police City Srinagar.
