Srinagar: After remaining suspended for three days due to cloudburst, in which at least 16 people died andย dozens were injured, Hindu holy Pilgrimage of Amarnath resumed on Monday, officials said.ย
An official said that the Amarnath Pilgrimage has resumed as fresh batch of pilgrims was allowed to proceed towards the holy cave from Nunwan Base Camp in Pahalgam today morning.

He said that the yatra resumed at around 8 am, following a slight delay due to rain.

Notably, Yatra was temporarily suspended after a cloudburst hit at lower Amarnath cave shrine on Friday, in which at least 16 people died, while dozens were injured and fate of over 37 devotees is still unknown.
