Awantipora, January 11: A 13-year-old boy, identified as Moomin Tariq Mir, son of Tariq Ahmad from Barsoo Awantipora, was killed after being struck by a truck in Awantipora, South Kashmir, on Saturday.
The accident occurred on NH-44 in Barsoo Awantipora when a truck (registration number GJ39T-4614) traveling from Srinagar to Anantnag struck the pedestrian, klling him on the spot.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further proceedings.
