Srinagar, The body of 11-year-old boy, Haziq Ahmed Sheikh was retrieved from river Jhelum near old zero bridge after a gap of 11-days on Friday.
Haziq is among the nine people killed, including four children, after a boat crashed in the Jhelum River near the Gandbal area of Srinagar, while the bodies of two others are yet to be retrieved.
The two other untraced bodies include father of Haziq, Showkat Ahmed and another minor. Farhan Parray.
Locals in Gandbal expressed their hope that the bodies of the two remaining persons would surface, allowing them to have their final glimpse as well.
"We hope the bodies of the two others float; we want to have their last glimpses," a local said.
Amid shrieks and cries, hundreds of people attended the funeral of Haziq in Gandbal and bid adieu.
Moreover, people from various parts of Srinagar reached Gandbal to participate in the funeral of the preteen.
