Anantnag: Former Chief Minister and PDP President Mehbooba Mufti, campaigning in South Kashmir on Monday, stated that the people of Jammu and Kashmir would respond fittingly to the BJP's misadventures on polling days.
Addressing a public rally in South Kashmir's Anantnag, she said, “Jammu & Kashmir needs a strong voice to speak up against the machinations of New Delhi. I am confident that people will respond fittingly to the BJP's misadventures on polling days.”
Mufti said that the ongoing contest for the Lok Sabha is not between the PDP and NC; rather, it is a collective fight in which people must play their roles.
'My power is not valueble unless you support me. J&K needs a credible voice to represent the aspirations of its people in Parliament,' she added.
Mufti also asserted that decisions made after August 5, 2019, were illegal and unconstitutional, and New Delhi has no option but to reverse these declarations.
Praising the people of the Anantnag-Rajouri constituency, she stated, 'I am not limited to one place. Bijbehara is my hometown, and the people here have nurtured me.'
The people of Jammu and Kashmir have realized the necessity for a strong voice to speak out against the atrocities committed by New Delhi after August 5, 2019, she added.
