Ahmedabad, 23 January 2025: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday said that the Narendra Modi government has completed almost all pending ideological tasks, including the abrogation of Article 370, and would continue on the same path during its third tenure.
The senior BJP leader made these remarks while inaugurating the Hindu Spiritual & Service Fair, also known as the `Hindu Adhyatmik Seva Mela,' at Gujarat University.
“There was a time when Hindus hesitated to disclose their identity in their own country,” Shah claimed.
“In the past ten years, the situation has changed. Nearly all pending tasks aligned with our ideology have been accomplished, including the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the abolition of triple talaq, and the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC),” he said.
Although the UCC has not been implemented nationally, BJP-ruled Uttarakhand has introduced it. Shah also mentioned in the Rajya Sabha last month that the code would eventually be implemented across all states.
Shah criticized earlier governments for failing to address these issues, claiming they remained untouched for 70 years.
He further said that the Modi government would continue in the same direction during its third term.
