Three Palestinians were injured on Wednesday night as Israeli settlers attempted to storm prophet Yousuf (Joseph)’s mausoleum in Palestine’s Nablus city.
As per reports, confrontations erupted between Palestinian citizens and troops when the Israeli military protected dozens of illegal Israeli settlers, who were on their way to storm the archaeological site of Joseph's Tomb.
Head of the Palestinian Red Crescent Emergency and Ambulance Department, Ahmad Jibril, said that three Palestinians were shot by the Israeli military and 52 others were annihilated with tear gas, all of the injured are currently undergoing treatment, Wafa reported.
Israeli forces prevented ambulances from entering the area," he said.
Notably, settlers repeatedly break into Joseph’s Tomb, located in a densely Palestinian-populated area in Nablus, provoking chaos and confrontation with residents.
Prophet Yousuf (Joseph) son of Prophet Yaqoob (Jacob) is common to three Abrahamic religions of Islam, Judaism, and Christianity.
