Srinagar: A man from Banihal was killed after a LMV (Light Motor Vehicle hit him in Nowgam area of Srinagar on Tuesday.
An official said that a Tavera (cab) vehicle bearing registration number RJ 36 TA 1594 hit a pedestrian named Mohd Ayoub Nayak, son of Mohd Ibrahim Nayak, a resident of Banihal, near the railway crossing in Nowgam, Srinagar.
In the incident, he sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Meanwhile, Police said they have taken cognizance of the incident.
