Srinagar, September 9: The autumn session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly will comprise seven sittings spread over nine days, beginning September 21, according to the provisional calendar issued by the Legislative Assembly Secretariat.
The session will open on September 21 with obituary references, followed by government business. Government business will also be taken up on September 22.
The House will not meet on September 23, which has been declared a holiday on account of the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh.
The Assembly will take up Private Members’ Bills on September 24, followed by a discussion on Private Members’ Resolutions on September 25.
There will be no sittings on September 26 and 27 as they fall on Saturday and Sunday.
The House will reconvene on September 28 to consider Private Members’ Bills, while September 29 has been allocated for government business.
The final sitting is scheduled for September 30, when the House will transact government business, if any, according to the provisional calendar.
