Srinagar: A youth was shot and injured by an unknown gunman on Wednesday evening in the Watrigama Wanihama area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
A top police officer said that suspected militants fired upon a youth identified as Sahil Bashir, son of Bashir Ah Dar and a resident of Wanihama.
As per reports, he has a bullet injury in the neck.
He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, the officer said.
Till this report was filed the status of his condition was not available.
Soon after the incident whole area was cordoned off to nab the attackers.
