Poonch: At least three military men were injured when militants ambushed a military vehicle in Pir Panchal region’s Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
As per officials, militants targeted a military vehicle on the DKG-Buffliaz road where a cordon-and-search operation has been underway since Wednesday.
Following the ambush, a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched, triggering a military operation.
“They (militants) fired upon the vehicle, leaving at least three troopers injured, the officials said.
A military spokesperson said "contact" has been established and an exchange of fire was underway in the area.
Additional forces have been rushed to the spot.
