Srinagar, Mar 23 โ€” The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday carried out searches at nine locations across Jammu and Kashmir as part of its ongoing probe into the 2025 Red Fort blast case, officials said.

โ€œSearches are being conducted at nine places in various locations of J&K,โ€ an official said, adding that further details would be shared after the operations conclude.

The agency is investigating the case registered as RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI to โ€œuncover the full conspiracy behind the attack,โ€ in coordination with Jammu and Kashmir Police, Haryana Police and other agencies, the NIA said.

At least 11 people were killed and several others injured in the powerful explosion near Delhiโ€™s Red Fort on November 10, 2025. Investigators said the blast involved a vehicle loaded with 30โ€“40 kg of ammonium nitrate, along with triacetone triperoxide (TATP), both highly potent explosives.

According to the NIA, the attack was โ€œmasterminded by Umer, along with other accusedโ€”Muzammil Ganai, Shaheen Saeed, Mufti Irfan, Adeel Ahmed Rather, as well as five others who had allegedly provided shelter and logistical support.โ€

The prime accused, Umer Nabi, a doctor from Pulwama who was working as an assistant professor at a university in Faridabad at the time, was killed in the explosion.

Officials said 11 persons have been arrested so far in connection with the case, while further investigation is underway.ย
