Phagwara: A Jalandhar resident, Nakul Dhir, was arrested after a group of "cow vigilantes" raided his store in Maheru village, Phagwara, on the night of September 30, following a tip-off about the alleged sale of beef.
The “vigilantes,” reportedly from the Jalandhar and Patiala areas, claimed to have found several boxes of canned beef in the shop and alerted the police.
Authorities seized the boxes and arrested Dhir, with a case registered at Satnampura police station.
