Kupwara: Two women were injured on Tuesday in an explosion near a camp of the forces in the Kandi area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara.
The injured women have been identified as Nahida Akther and Afroza Begum, both residents of Chek Keegam.
An official said that an inquiry is underway.
One of the injured women suffered a wound to her right leg, while the other sustained a severe foot injury. Both were later referred to Srinagar's JVC Hospital for specialized treatment, he said.
Meanwhile, police have started investigations to determine the circumstances.
