Bandipora: A cordon and search operation (CASO) is underway in the Aragam area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district as of late Monday evening.
News agency KDC quoted a senior police officer stating, “A patrolling party from the 13 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) observed suspicious movement and opened fire.”
“The area has been cordoned off and the firing has ceased,” he stated, noting that the incident occurred in a forest area.
“Searches are underway,” he said.
Additional reinforcements have been deployed, and more details will be shared later,” he added.
