Srinagar: The University of Kashmir has made last-minute revisions to the syllabus for the upcoming UG-2nd semester backlog examination, batch 2021, announcing the sudden change on the date sheet, which has left students in distress as they grapple with the unexpected alterations just days before the exams.

According to the revised date sheet, the syllabus modifications were introduced shortly before the examination, leaving students who had meticulously prepared based on the previous syllabu, unprepared for the abrupt shift.

Expressing their concerns, students conveyed that adapting to the revised syllabus within such a short timeframe would be challenging.

One student said; "It feels like the University has gambled with our future."

Kaiser Farooq, another student said: "The date sheet was already scheduled inappropriately, and the sudden change in syllabus has left us in shock. Even if they felt the need to revise the syllabus, it should not have been announced on the date sheet,” he said.

“Students need adequate time for preparation which cannot be achieved last minute,” he added.

In response to students' concerns, The Himalayan Post reached out to the Dean of Academic Affairs at Kashmir University. However, the Dean redirected the matter to the "Controller Examinations" and suggested contacting the examination concerned block for further information.

Despite multiple attempts to reach out, Prof. Majid Baba, the Controller of Examinations at Kashmir University, remained unresponsive to calls.
