Kupwara: Assistant Director Food on Tuesday suspended a Govt storekeeper after local residents in Sever, Gadwad, Dudhban and its adjoining areas in Lolab protested for Keeping them (several Villages) without ration for past three months.
Assistant Director Food said he has suspended after the case was brought to his notice.
“Store keeper Tariq Ah Banday has been placed under suspension till further orders”, he added.

“Tomorrow I am visiting these villages to oversee the distribution of ration," director said.
Earlier today, residents of several villages protested over the absence of the storekeeper from the past three months leading villages without ration.
“Despite having biometric and issuance of ‘slips’ we are still deprived of ration”, a group of locals said.
