Srinagar: A 28-year-old man from south Kashmir’s shopian was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a hotel in Srinagar, officials said on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Showkat Ahmad Ahanger and a resident of Sangran Shopian.
Apparently, it seems suicide, police said.
However, we are ascertaining the facts,” he said.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation is on.
The body will be handed over to his family members after completing necessary medico-legal formalities, he added.
