Chandigarh: The Congress has offered a legal guarantee for the Minimum Support Price (MSP) and statutory status for the agriculture price commission as part of its manifesto in Punjab
Gurinder Singh Dhillon, a member of the Congress’ campaign committee, affirmed the party’s commitment to ensuring legal Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for 24 crops, as he underlined the pivotal role Congress played in establishing the National Commission on Farmer Dr MS Swaminathan.
Moreover, he pledged to implement the recommendations outlined in the Swaminathan report, along with providing insurance coverage for farmers affected by crop loss due to natural calamities.
Gurinder Singh Dhillon recently resigned from the Indian Police Service and joined Congress while praising scion Rahul Gandhi, saying he is the “first and foremost reason” to join the Congress.
