Sopore: Aganwari (ICDS) workers in Sopore town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday held a protest demonstration against the newly renewed Human Resource (HR) Policy and demanded revocation.
The policy framed by the LG government is totally unacceptable and should be revoked immediately, protestors said.
“If the government is claiming of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padao’, is this how they are going to save the future of Beti’s across the country,” they said.
They said they will continue their protest till the order is revoked.
Notably, the LG administration renewed the HR policy for female Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) and Helpers working in the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) of J&K and the new policy lays down age criteria, qualification for selection, with domicile being pre-requisite eligibility in the selection process.
