Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir administration led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that around two lakh projects have been completed over the last four years stating the projects including highway connectivity, healthcare and educational centres.
News agency KNS quoted a top Government official stating that the completion of approximately 2 lakh projects include the construction of new roads, bridges, and infrastructure has significantly enhanced connectivity, reducing travel times and improving access to remote areas.
The official quoted LG saying that the vital healthcare and educational institutions have been established, increasing access to quality services and educational opportunities.

One of the top officials in the government said that the projects undertaken during this period have been instrumental in bringing about positive change, improving the standard of living, and fostering economic development in the region.
“The Zojila Tunnel, the world’s longest bi-directional tunnel, is one such project that has reduced travel time and improved access to Ladakh,” he said.
“The administration has focused on education and skill development, with the establishment of numerous schools, colleges, and vocational training centers. This has enabled the youth to acquire the necessary skills for better job opportunities,” he added.
“The healthcare sector has witnessed a significant boost with the establishment of new hospitals, healthcare centers, and the recruitment of medical professionals. These developments have enhanced healthcare services and made quality healthcare more accessible,” he said further.
“The region’s digital infrastructure has seen a significant upgrade, with the expansion of high-speed internet services. This has not only connected people with the world but also facilitated e-governance and digital literacy, he added.
