Srinagar: The Administration of Srinagar has converted the Sanat-Nagar Marriage hall in Srinagar and two other Hotels into three special quarantine centers for foreign guests visiting Kashmir valley for International Winter Tourism in view of the emergence of the new Covid variant Omicron.
A senior official in the district administration said โMarriage hall in Sanantnagar area of the city and two hotels have been converted into quarantine centers. After Covid test at Srinagar international airport, its mandatory for international travelers to quarantine at these centers for right hours.โ
He said in case any traveler tests positive for the Covid-19, Omicron (new variant) โ will be shifted to DRDO Covid hospital for special treatment. The Srinagar administration has taken this step in the wake of the spread of new covid variant โ Omicron around the world.
โKashmir is prepared for international winter tourism,โ he added.
World countries including USA, UK, Japan, Thailand, Canada has banned travel from South African countries as Omicron-the new variant of Coronavirus is surging in many countries around the world.
