Srinagar: National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday raided the residence and office of Khuram Parvez Prominent Human rights activist in Kashmir capital Srinagar.
Official sources said sleuths of NIA carried out searches at the residence and office Mr. Parvaiz here in Srinagar, in connection with a case already registered by NIA.
They said that the residence of Khurram in Sonawar and office in Amira Kadal was searched by NIA.
Parvez has long been a vocal critic of the ruling government, and was arrested for two and a half months in 2016.

Two days before his arrest, the Indian immigration authorities had refused to let Parvez board a flight to Geneva, where he was scheduled to address the United Nations Human Rights Council about India’s human-rights record.
The Jammu and Kashmir High Court had quashed his detention as “illegal.”
Meanwhile, the probing agency was assisted by the local police and paramilitary personnel that searched the office and residence thoroughly, they added.
Pertinently, last year also NIA searched the residences of Khurram Parvaiz at Sonwar residence in Srinagar.
