J&K’s Former Police Officer Joins BJP In Delhi

New Delhi: J&K’s former police officer Farooq Ahmad Reshi on Monday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in New Delhi.

“Mr. Farooq met the Union Minister Parshottam Khodabhai Rupala, Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairies at his residence along with Choudhary Aurangzeb, chairman of State Hajj Committee Haryana,” according to a statement.

“He was welcomed into the party and assured full help and support to make BJP a vibrant force in Jammu and Kashmir,” reads the statement.

“Mr. Parshottam said Jammu and Kashmir hold tremendous potential in various sectors and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairies hold huge growth potential for ensuring jobs and other opportunities for the youth in the region,” it said.

He further said that new leadership is emerging in Jammu and Kashmir and Farooq Reshi is among those leaders who offer new hope for the people of the region.

The party has gained more strength after Adv Farooq Reshi has become part of it in Jammu and Kashmir,” Rupala said according to a statement.
