Sonamarg: A tourist died and another was rescued after the duo fell and got trapped in a snow cavity at Thajwas glacier in central Kashmir’s Sonamarg.
The deceased was identified as Deepak Prahlad Patil, a resident of Maharashtra.
An official said that a tourist duo accidentally fell into a snow cavity at the Thajwas glacier.
“As the news spread, the tourists at the spot alongside the police retrieved the body of one while another trapped person was rescued and taken to a nearby hospital,” the official said.
