Lt. Gen Anup Banerji Appointed As First Director Of AIIMS, Kashmir

Srinagar: Lt. Gen. Dr. Anup Banerji (retd.) has been appointed as the first executive director of AIIMS, Awantipora, sources said.

Retired General Banerji, who served superannuation from the armed forces on March 31, 2020, has been appointed as the first executive director of AIIMS Awantipora.

Banerji has also served the Director-General, Armed Forces Medical Services (DG AFMS) before his superannuation.

He is an alumnus of the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, the officer is a cardiologist and an administrator.

He has held various important clinical and staff positions during his career in (AFMS) Armed Forces Medical Sciences.
