Kashmir Valley Schools Closed for 2 Days Over Heatwave

Srinagar: The J&K administration has announced a two-day closure of primary schools across the Kashmir Valley starting Sunday, as temperatures soar to 36.2ยฐC, 6ยฐC above normal.

In an order issued by the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, the administration said that classwork for students up to the primary level in both government and recognized private schools will be suspended on July 29 and 30, 2024. However, teaching and non-teaching staff are required to continue their duties as usual.ย
