Srinagar: LG Manoj Sinha on Friday quashed the JKP SI (Jammu and Kashmir Police Sub–Inspector) recruitment on Friday and recommended CBI (Central Investigation Investigation) probe into the selection process.
Earlier, The Himalayan Post reported on the alleged JKSSB scam in which 97,000 candidates appeared for 1200 sub-inspector posts.
"JKP Sub-Inspector recruitment has canceled and a CBI probe has been recommended into the selection process,” J&K LG said.

“Culprits will be brought to justice soon. It’s a first big step towards securing the future of our youth & the government will soon decide on the future course of action for fresh recruitment,” the LG said.
The JK administration then announced a time-bound probe by a committee headed by Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, R K Goyal, into the allegations of fraud in the recently announced Sub Inspector or JKSSB SI Result 2022, declared online on June 4.
