Srinagar: The Health and Medical Education Department of Jammu and Kashmir convened a board of members to assess the availability of essential equipment in all JK hospitals.
The official order reads: “Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of a committee to furnish the recommendations for notifying Essential Equipment List (EEL) of the Health and Medical Education Department.”
As per the order, Principal, of Government Medical College Srinagar/Jammu, Director Health Services Kashmir / Jammu will be members of the board while the Managing Director, of JK Medical Supplies Corporation Ltd will be the convenor of the committee.
“The board also executes power to appoint any other member including specialists of Anaesthesiology, Radiology to finalize the EEL,” the order further explains.
Moreover, it is notified for the board to provide a detailed report with certain recommendations regarding the essential equipment required in the hospitals within 20 days.
