Japan bans 81 Russian organisations and announces freezing assets of 25 more Russians in response to Russia-Ukraine crisis, Japan’s foreign ministry Yoshimasa Hayashi said on Friday.
Moreover, prominent business firms of Japan including Toyota, Honda, Nintendo and Sony have also halted exports to Russia.
The move comes after Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said on Thursday that it will take steps to revoke Russia’s “most favoured nation” trade status and prevent domestic crypto-currency exchanges from carrying out transactions with sanctioned entities.

Earlier this week, Japan declared hard ‘punishments’ on Russia by targeting Russia’s central bank and restricted the country’s access to the SWIFT international payments system, also it banned exports of Russia-bound oil refinery equipment.
Japan is one of the closest ally of USA (United States of America) in Asia.
Japan has adopted tougher sanctions against Russia than other countries in the region.
Apart from Japan, only South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan have announced sanctions against Moscow.
