Srinagar: Gunfight broke out between security forces and militants in Noorbagh area of Srinagar on Saturday, officials said.
On the basis of specific input, a search operation was launched in the Noorbagh area of city under the jurisdiction of police station Safa Kadal.
"When forces zeroed in on the suspected spot, the hiding militants opened fire triggering a gun battle," the official said.
As per GNS, Three militants ate believed to be trapped.
