Srinagar: Sub-divisional Magistrate Beerwah has put Executive Officer of Municipal Council Magam under suspension on Saturday for allegedly ‘Insulting (Indian Flag) the Tricolor.’
“Pending enquiry into the matter, Syed Aijaz Manzoor, Executive Officer, MC Magam, is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect”, reads the government order.
The order that placed the officer under suspension does not brief about the nature of the insult.

However, as per the order, “Tehsildar Magam is nominated as the enquiry officer in the matter who shall furnish a detailed report within three days along with particulars of all other officials/non-officials involved in the incident”, the order reads further.
