Anantnag: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Anantnag conducted surprise inspection at various offices in Sub division Mattan during which 10 government employees were found absent from duty and placed under suspension on Saturday.
The ADC inspected the attendance of employees at Tehsil Office, Block Development Office and GHS Mattan among other offices.
The Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Dr Basharat Qayoom said that the inspections are being carried out to ensure that employees are present in offices during duty hours.
He said that all district officers have been directed to ensure their employees are accessible to the public to ensure responsive governance.
He said such surprise inspections will continue.
