Anantnag: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Dr. Basharat Qayoom, authorities disbursed ex-gratia relief of Rupees one lac to the families of victims who lost their lives in a tragic incident at Daksum area in the South Kashmir district.
Reportedly, a mud house collapse killed three persons on the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday in the Mather Patheri area of Daksum.
Meanwhile, the ex-gratia relief also comprises other items of need including blankets and kitchen utensils.
In the reported incident, three persons Hajira Begum w/o Hussain Gorsi aged 55 years, Manzoor Gorsi s/o Mohd Abdullah aged 40 years and Asif Gorsi s/o Manzoor Gorsi aged 16 years, all residents of Bidhard were killed. A fourth person, Shakeena daughter of Hussain Gorsi aged 12 years โis safe and is with her familyโ.
DC Anantnag said that as they heard the reports regarding the incident, a team of revenue and police officials was immediately deputed to the spot.
He said that relief has been disbursed to the NoKs of victims and officials have been directed to provide all necessary assistance.
