Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Monday issued a formal order for the creation of 252 posts in different categories for the establishment of the State Investigation Agency (SIA).
“Sanction is hereby accorded to the creation of the following 252 (Two Hundred Fifty Two) posts in different categories for the establishment of State Investigation Agency (SIA),” reads an order issued by Financial Commissioner/ Additional Chief Secretary, Home, R.K. Goyal.
The posts include Deputy Inspector General of Police, three Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), and three Superintendent of Police (SP.)
NIA (National Investigation Agency) alike, the SIA (State Investigation Agency) was constituted recently in February to speed up investigations in militancy cases and ‘secessionism’ as per officials.
