Anantnag: A woman and a minor boy were injured in a gas cylinder explosion at a middle school in the Jafarpora area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday.
The woman has been identified as Hajira, 50, wife of Abdul Ganie, and the minor boy, 4, as Zian, son of Mohammad Ashraf.
According to officials, both were shifted to SDH Bijbhera, from where they were referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for advanced treatment.
"The woman has received 30 percent burn injuries, while the boy has received 60 percent burn injuries," an official said, adding that the fire caused by the explosion is ascertained.
