Forest Dept Seal Seven Bandsaw Mills in South Kashmir’s Verinag

Anantnag: The Government Forest Department of J&K on Saturday sealed several bandsaw units (Rinda machine) in Verinag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag District.

Block Forest Officer Ghulam Nabi Kalam told GNS that at least seven planer machines were sealed at different locations in Verinag after directions were received in this regard from DFO Anantnag.

“The sealed bandsaw units were operating illegally adjacent to the forest range and as per the law, we sealed those mills.
