Srinagar: Federally run administration of Jammu and Kashmir under LG Manoj Sinha has nominated nodal officers for the implementation of “Har Ghar Tiranga” initiative in the Kashmir Division as the government wants every single household to hoist the Indian national flag in Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier Jammu Kashmir administration said, “To instill patriotic emotions among citizenry this Independence Day, the culture and tourism ministry will launch ‘Har Ghar Jhanda’ campaign under which people will be exhorted to hoist the national flag over their houses on August 15.”
It also stated that the initiative will be part of the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM), a celebration and commemoration of 75 years of India’s independence.
According to an order issued by Director Rural Development Department Kashmir, Imam Din, the government has nominated Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) of respective districts as nodal officer for the initiative.
